On October 9, 2007, Swaminathan Padmanabhan, M.D. presented a CME on “Making Sense of Myelodysplastic Syndromes: From Diagnosis to Treatment.” The objectives of this discussion were to describe how to accurately diagnose myelodysplastic syndromes (MDS) when presented with a case study vignette, recognize the advantages and limitations of stem cell transplantation in the treatment of MDS.
            Dr. Padmanabhan is Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Departments of Medicine and Immunology at the Roswell Park Cancer Institute Graduate Division, State University of New York in Buffalo, NY.
