New Vice President of Patient Care & Chief Nursing Officer Announced at Little Falls Hospital

Little Falls, NY - Michael L. Ogden, President & CEO, announced the appointment of Heidi Camardello as Vice President of Patient Care Services and Chief Nursing Officer effective May 19, 2010.
Camardello has been selected for this role following a nationwide search of qualified applicants. "Heidi has proven leadership ability that spans multiple clinical departments. She knows our communities, the hospital, and the staff members. She is a warm person, in addition to being a skilled nurse and an excellent manager. She puts people first and that includes patients, nurses, and colleagues," says Ogden.
Throughout her tenure at Little Falls Hospital, Ms. Camardello has worked her way up from staff charge nurse on Little Falls Hospital's OB unit to circulating nurse in the OR, to nurse manager in surgical services to Director of perioperative, imaging & cardiac services. Camardello has received her BSN from Utica College of Syracuse University and is currently enrolled in the Masters in Nursing Administration program at SUNY -IT.
"I have been fortunate to have benefitted from the guidance and counsel of several outstanding mentors in my career, and have always strived to foster the professional growth and development of others so each individual can realize their full potential," said Camardello. "I look forward to playing a key role in the future of Little Falls Hospital, and am quite proud to continue a long association with the Bassett Healthcare Network and the community it serves."
Heidi lives in Dolgeville, New York, and is married to Sam Camardello. She has four children Jamie, Sam, Jason, Kara. Her father, Raymond "Dutch" Smith, is the Chairman of Herkimer County Legislation.
